Society

Once upon a time man lived in various caves and only maintained his family unit. As his family got larger some of his kids or grandkids moved out to find their own cave because the home cave was too crowded. This process continued and became more complex until at one point people decided to form cohesive units for protection and to help them be able to more effectively hunt and gather. These cohesive units had rules to live by either spoken or unspoken. If one did not like the rules they might argue to change them or leave with like minded people and start their own unit. In today's lingo we would call this a society. The problem that has come upon us is that people want to force their ideals on the societies they live in and rather than forming their own community or finding communities of like mind they attempt to force their opinion on the rest of society. What they claim is that they like being with this society so why should they go elsewhere. If they like their given society then why don't they see how the ideals they propose will change that society into something completely different from what it is and therefore why don't they just go elsewhere and live with like minded people. An example is homosexuals trying to force themselves on the majority of communities in which they currently live. If they like all of the liberalness they are trying to force on people then rather than wasting their energy they could simply live in say, San Fransisco. Of course this is not where they want to live because the prefer the society they are in because it isn't quite so extreme. What they don't see is if the people where they live accept their ideals to the degree they want then their current society would 'evolve' into one like San Fransisco. Once things deteriorate to that point they then move to find another community to corrupt. Society only exists when the majority rules but doesn't oppress and the minority is left free to leave if they don't like things the way they are. If society has to answer to the minority then gradually the cohesion that made the society will dissolve and a crumbling society is all that is left. In order to keep a society strong the majority needs to rule, careful to allow others to live their individual lives differently as long as it doesn't infrige on anybody else living their life.
